Ralph Douglas, Program Manager at the Australian Public Service Commission (APSC) since June 2012, works with Australian Government departments and agencies to streamline recruitment processes, practices and policies.
This currently involves enhancing the APS employment brand, converting APSjobs.gov.au into a whole of government recruitment portal, updating agency guidelines and documentation related to recruitment and selection, managing a Community of Practice for agency Human Resource, recruitment and corporate staff across all levels.
Since 2004, he has been in the Australian Public Service (APS) with experience as an:
• Agency Engagement Manager, Project Manager for Gov 2.0 Online Services for the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO)
• Senior Budget Analyst for the Department of Finance and Deregulation
• Contract web content developer and policy analyst for the Departments of Health and Ageing and Employment and Workplace Relations
Prior to this he spent 6 years as a Senior ICT Recruiter and has a previous work history across the publishing and music industries in advertising, sales management, and music journalism
He has a Masters in Management from the Australian National University and an Honours Degree in English from the University of Queensland
