ROSEMARY SCOTT
FOUNDER, SCOTT RECRUITMENT SERVICES
Rosemary Scott started her first recruitment business, Scotstaff, in 1975. At that time, it was a one-branch recruitment company in Sydney, which shortly expanded to two branches. The business recruited in office support and Rosemary started a division that specialised in Financial Services, particularly Insurance.
Scotstaff, created with two Partners, was borne out of disillusionment with the large international recruiting firm they previously worked for. The disillusionment grew and grew. Rosemary sold Scotstaff to the Chandler Recruitment Group in 1987 and spent three years with them in various management and executive recruitment roles before acheiving her goal of retiring by age 40.
Retirement was relaxing and fulfilling however and not surprisingly, it wasn’t long before Rosemary grew bored of life on the farm with the horses and cows. She was inspired to create Scott Training and Consulting (later to become Scott Recruitment Services), which focussed on training recruitment consultants in 1992. Scott Recruitment Services now provides services of recruiting recruiters for the Recruitment industry throughout Australia. Rosemary also buys and sells recruitment businesses.
