Kalena is a highly respected Human Resources leader with more than 15 years leadership and commercial operations management experience working in roles spanning Australia and New Zealand with consulting responsibility into Singapore, Malaysia and China.

Currently Kalena is the Human Resources Director at Kelly Services Australia, responsible for driving continuous improvement across all areas of HR including strategy, organisational development and design; performance; talent acquisition, employee development; employee engagement; safety and organisational culture. Kalena boasts extensive experience in managing talent through start-ups as well as mergers & acquisitions and is expert at ensuring business results align with the expectations of the market, staff and an organisation’s culture.

Kalena has been instrumental in driving strategic change and HR best practice within some of the world’s largest and best known recruitment firms including Randstad, Select and Vedior. Prior to establishing herself as a recognised leader within the recruitment industry Kalena worked in both the public and private sector in policy, community relations and lobbying. Kalena is a Certified Professional Member of AHRI, and holds a Cert IV Training and Assessment, a Bachelor of Science, a Masters in Management is currently completing an MBA.

Kalena has been a featured speaker on Australian talent management and human resource issues, and has a passion for building organisational capability for high performance.
